Utility Companies Target City Landlords with Efficiency Incentives

Burlington City Hall, Vermont Gas Systems and Burlington Electric Department are seeking to encourage the efficiency efforts of city landlords through a new subsidy program.  Under the program, landlords may receive free energy audits, along with up to 75 percent coverage of efficiency improvements made to their properties.  The unique program seeks to achieve whole-home efficiency throughout the Burlington multifamily residential home market.

The energy efficiencty improvement should help our older housing stock be more energy efficient and hopefully more affordable for tenants!
